My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. Tapping large water bottles (metal) against a leg to hear them make melodic sounds. You can hear the slosh of the water inside and the resonant tone. Noise reduction and amplification were applied to this sound using reaper.

This was created with sampled percussion from the keyboard in adobe audition cs6 and recorded via logitech webcam mic. The sound was further de-noised and cleaned in audition's spectral view and effects applied to make the arrangement work. Hopefully this will prove useful to some.

I used 2 low frequency operators (lfo) on a low pass filter (24db) on a generic pink noise sound with medium resonance settings, one of these lfo's was manipulating the other one with a random ramp, to make it sound more diverse and realistic. I put an aditional long envelope on the q (resonance) also, not to mention some chorus at a low tempo to make it kinda binaural with a stereo delay at a short time setting. . . I hope you enjoy it!.

Had a patch. Changed speed, attack and delay time. Got this. A bubbly noisy landscape. At the end i dissconect the "main lfo". The one thats makes things advance. But beyond that i get sounds.

This is a file that uses multiple files from this website put into one. I wanted to make a semi realistic gunfight and found a few clips to use. There is a lot of gunfire in the beginning. A quarter or halfway through the audio, the gunfire peters out to a few weapons and background noise firing with the occasional sniper fire.

Bought an old sony walkman from an antique mall. It was advertised as "radio works, but cassette player does not play. " this was true, and i was surprised at the noises it made when you tried to play tapes, though whether or not you have a tape or not it makes these types of noises when you switch it to the metal/chrome setting with dolby b on. You can add a 60 hertz hum if you touch any of the metal parts, and can somewhat mess the sound by messing with the spindles as they move. I may upload some more samples of this at one point, with cleaner recording of each of the sounds you can create.

Created by taking a stock sound effect of guitar plugs being pulled and distorting, reversing, stretching, looping, adding phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, i can't even remember what else, like there's no tomorrow. A sudden thunderstorm was making a peculiar noise while water dripped off my balcony, so i went out and captured it as the rain slowly decreased and eventually stopped. Recorded with zoom h4n pro.

Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

We got wood brought to our house from our woodman, and we brought a few armloads inside because we are already building fires. In the middle of the night, the woodbin started to make a strange noise. I figured it is some sort of bark chewing insect, but i have not seen it yet.
